windows does not log on

hai,

I have a emachines T2682 desktop...when I plug in the power cable, the green light around the power button comes on, but does not do anything, no display nothing...did the graphics card go bye bye....can I get some help on this one please? thank you

Do the fans come on? What's all hooked up to the computer right now? Could be ram or vid card, logic board. Any beeps when you try and turn it on? -Jes

Thank you for your reply, Jess. I don't hear the fans tuns on nor any beeps when I connect the power cable. nothing else is connected to the computer.

It sounds like a hardware issue of some sort. Make sure you go right into the wall.. i think it could actually be the power supply. Hope you found your answer sorry about the late reply! -jesse
