Windows Vista randomly freezes up

I am having trouble trying to figure out the problem on why autocad keep freezing. This is the specs of the computer:
Intel Quad Q9550
Video Card FX580 512mb
4 GB memory
250GB HDD
HP 16X DVD+-RW
Windows Vista Business SP2

The computer would randomly freeze (like when they use the autocad software or from simple surfing the internet) and nothing can't be done to the computer except for a hard reset. I did a check disk on the hard drive and also did a memory check but found nothing. The video driver is from the autocad website. The user is running with administrator rights, the UAC is disabled, and antivirus is disabled when running the program. I check the event log around the time it freeze and this is what I got.

Description:

The previous system shutdown at 2:06:03 PM on 1/25/2010 was unexpected.

Is there something wrong with the bios that is why the Kernel is having issues or is it the network card since that is the last event before the computer freeze?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks
