i wish to connect to the internet via a wireless router. I think I need ADSL as going via a bt (uk) telephone line. which is the most suitable router for this or are they all the same. i would like it as simple as possible and well priced. i have just brought an acer 1362 wlmi laptop with built in wireless connection if that makes any difference. cheers

Probably the simplest thing to do is to use one of BT's wireless routers, assuming you will use BT as your ISP. If not most of the main ISP's will supply a wireless router, it may be a little more expensive but at least you know you won't have any compatibility problems,
I have installed a few of them and it sets up relatively easily.

you would probably be fine with almost any wireless router. they are fairly compatible with most modems these days.

All "home" routers support standard DSL connectins like PPPoE or PPPoA.

To save yourself from headaches buy a real brand name router like Linksys, D-Link, SMC, 3Com, Netgear.
