Synology claims power consumption levels of the DS410j to be slightly lower than those of the DS409+. Using only two hard drives the DS410j used about the same amount of power as the Promise SmartStor NS4600 configured with four drives. However, the DS410j used around 30% less power than the DS409+ and we estimate with two more hard drives it would almost use the same amount.
