Benchmarks: CrystalDiskMark 3.0

The N3200XXX's CrystalDiskMark sequential read and write performance landed it in-between the competition with 58.8MB/s measured on reads and 44.6MB/s on writes. That works out to be 21% slower than the Synology DS211's read performance and 33% slower for write performance.

The CrystalDiskMark random 512K performance was even weaker as the N3200XXX fell behind the LG N2A2 with a read performance of just 32.5MB/s and a write speed of 20.4MB/s. Thecus' offering proved was one of the slowest NAS devices we've tested, with only the QNAP TS-412 scoring lower.

The N3200XXX rebounded from its lousy random 512K performance by dusting its rivals in the CrystalDiskMark random 4K-QD32 test. The device provided a read bandwidth of 20.5MB/s alongside a write speed of 1.7MB/s, which compares to 11.8MB/s and 0.7MB/s for the DiskStation DS211.
