asus a7n8x-e motherboard + maxtor diamondmax 9 sata harddrive install

alright i know very little about building computers but for some reason i decided to try it. I have my computer all set up and I can not get my windows xp to load. I have the 6 boot disks and i have my boot first floppy, cd, hard drive in the bios. After the 6th boot disk it says it doesnt recognize my hard drive. When i boot up the raid thing says that there is a maxtor installed for the bios. Ive been reading alot about this and somewhere it said to install some raid all in one drivers from my mobo cd. Im not sure what drivers to install to get my computer to recognize to install xp. Sorry i read other threads about this but i just cant figure it out. Whatever help someone can offer id really appreciate.

i am also unable to hit f6 during the boot session to get to the driver install for some reason. PLEASE HELP ME IM AN *****

Sorry to hear that. I had one of the motherboards and was never able to get windows to fully load. I finally gave up and got an msi board.
