Hello,
I was given an hp pavilion media center m8226x computer and installed windows xp pro. Everything works wonderfully except every power on.
The BIOS always reports the following:
New CPU installed! Please enter setup
to configure your system.
Press F1 to enter setup
Press F2 to load default values and continue
I have:
Motherboard: m2n68-am se2
BIOS Version: 1409
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000

I have changed the bios battery, flashed the bios, cleared the bios and went back in and reset everything and tried loding the defaults from the bios and loaded optimized settings and the cpu is the one that came with the computer. I have no idea as to what to do, HELP!!!!!!!

If anyone knows any thing about tattooing a motherboard you know one of the items you have to put in is the featurebyte. The featurebyte is normally 10 blocks of 4 characters plus 2, however this motherboard has 11 blocks of 4 characters plus 2 and when I try to update it every thing is written to the dmi file except the featurebyte which gives an error message that featurebyte has too many characters.
Please if you know how to take care of the bios error message, please help me or if you can help me with the tattooing.

Thank you
