Ah, a voice with direct knowledge of who really pays the tariff price. We (my company) import about 50% of all our goods from China. All tariffs are simply transferred to the price of the goods to the consumer. In fact some of our manufacturers simply have other factories in Vietnam and do final completion of the goods there.
I work in an industry that found ways around the tariffs the last time, I'm sure they will again - if it happens. However, the tariffs do hurt the industry I'm in by giving an advantage to our competitors in countries where there are no tariffs on the parts needed to build our equipment.
