GeForce RTX 4070 vs. Radeon RX 7800 XT: 45 Game Benchmark

@Steve, you are right. Maybe it is 13900k
On Starfield 13900k is 25%+ faster vs 7800x3d with 7900xtx.
So, that could be it.
4070 could be held back by 7800x3d in RT games vs 13900k.

I dont think the results we can see in the steaming pile of a game that starfield is will repeat anywhere else ever, so don't draw far-reaching conclusions.
x3d series is not 25% slower than 13900k

Not to flame an argument, but what GPU drivers were used for testing the cards. That can make a huge different in performance.

not really, margin of error usually.
Edit: you may be right tho, apparently new nvidia drivers whitelist rebar in starfield.

In Romania, the cheapest 7800xt is 690€. The cheapest 4070 is 660€. Maybe because it's newer, but wtf? Outside US, prices are sh1t. Radeons are higher or equally priced. Good luck with that strategy, AMD!

It doesn't make a huge difference in average frame rates, though the overall frame time stability seems a little better. I've not properly tested the difference the use of ReBAR makes, this is just a seat-of-my-pants observation.

What is the difference once you're not cpu limited like in the YT videos ? Like using a 13900K instead of zen x3d

I don't understand choosing starfield as part of review procedure in the first place, given that amd have a game breaking bug and apparetly are in no rush to fix it

It's always like that in central Europe, amd's availability since Fury generation is laughable. It's like they're neglecting us on purpose, when I talk to guys from US/Asia, there's no problem there. First batch of 7800xt's cost 550eur for cheapest ones, and was out of stock same day it launched.
It's back, at 580eur now.
