That's nothing new though, and both Nvidia and AMD are megacorps themselves. These are not tiny companies, no matter what they might try to claim. This current economic system has largely been unchanged since the 70s or so, almost all of the policies are extensions of Nixon-era economics, with Reagan going further to dismantle various social infrastructure, and Clinton further eroding what little remaining regulatory framework existed. None of these people are "good guys". Federal Reserve Chairs have all been rather equally consistent since Greenspan or earlier as well.
Is there really a point in complaining about this stuff on a tech site? Does anybody really think the worst outcome is higher priced GPUs? There are so many bigger problems that have been ignored for a half century plus, I just don't think it really matters any more. Eventually something will change but who knows if it will be better and when. No point in getting worked up over it imo.
I remember when I was younger and worked on some very high level, confidential matters and really got an inside look at these things. Being a younger man I couldn't help but leak parts of it, and my friends in finance also knew although they cautioned to be quiet. It turned out people were uninterested, and would even fight the truth. When I saw Snowden and Assange get raked over the coals I had already known that would happen by that point, the people just don't care. Not worth trying to fight, even if you could drag them to water they wouldn't drink.
