hello everybody,

Am truly happy to join techspot. I have a problem with my laptop acer aspire 1350. it failed to boot indicating operation system not found. have tried to use windowsxp to repair and install windws it indicates cannot see the harddrive c: kindly help me in overcoming this problem. thank you

It may be a matter of reseating your HardDrive (9.5mm 2.5" E-IDE HardDrive)

You will need to remove all power (both adaptor and battery)

Turn your computer upsidedown, and remove the HardDrive cover (Note one is the ram cover, one is the HardDrive cover)

After removing the HardDrive cover, you will then be able to reseat the HardDrive (there may be a screw holding it in too (I couldn't find a pic in your manual)

From reseating your HardDrive (basically pull out, and then put back in)
You can then put the cover back on, and plug in the power adaptor

Turn your laptop back on. Hopefully the HardDrive is now found.

If so, please put the battery back in, once you are able to shutdown again.

Please reply back if it worked.
