Intel responds to i7-7700K high temperature issue, tells owners they shouldn't overclock...

Err, you do realise that most supercars, including Ferraris, do actually have a speed limiter don't you? If you want to remove the limiter you void your warranty. The analogy is closer than I think you realise.
Unfortunately, none of that takes into account the American Consumer's supreme entitlement mentality, which sort of deludes itself into believing no matter how badly you abuse product, it was defective, and a replacement is expected, nay verily demanded.

Waaat! Amd drops support for chips way earlier than nvidia. No company is perfect. But I would buy nvidia right now over amd anyday.

You`re perfect example. nVidia`s Maxwell is already in legacy status, which means you dont get any driver optimizations for new titles, its simply as it is. AMD`s GCN goes all the way back to 2012 7970/7950/7870/7850 and yes, they do benefit from newer drivers.

nVidia actually even to this day didnt released DX12 for their Fermi generation, which they told will be DX12 compatible.

I am owner of nVidia card but get real. They did kinda lost me with Pascal I`m afraid.

Actually, no, you can buy Ferrari without electronic speed limit. And cars are bad analogy here - difference between 7700 and 7700K is unlocked multiplier, which you pay premium for it. It would be fair if they unlock all CPUs and then told you that OC is voiding the warranty and that you`re doing it on your own responsibility. Of course, then nobody would be buying most expensive models, just like before, people would buy cheapest ones and OC to the max. Oh how quickly people forget. It wasnt so long ago, Core2Duo generation.

This is the funniest thing I have read all day. intel consumers own ignorance, is the problem? wtg intel. im wondering if they are using the stock fans or aftermarket. well with the price of the i7, dont think they have money to buy an aftermarket fan.

Yeah but ay least you get an updated driver interface.. Amd for the 6900 series got 1 update to the new interface and left it buggy as hell.. Im an amd owner right now and no way ill be buying another.

There is no "stock" fan with 7700K, it comes without any kind of cooling.

Any news if Intel will recall the i7 7700k? Mine is making the fan "whirr" like crazy just opening apps. If I adjust the fan settings the temps go higher and make the fans "whirr" some more. It breaks my concentration when I'm working early mornings. This i7 is very very odd.

What fan are you using?
