It won't let me connect to internet, but VPN and Ethernet

So, I have an Acer Aspire E5-571P 64 bit windows 8.1 that I got last Christmas. Today, I got a virus, and after downloading AVG and AVG Protection and removing the virus, I could no longer access the internet, even though it said it was connected, and all my other devices were working properly. Ive been looking all over the internet on my tablet (What I am using now) to figure out how to fix it, and I found this one forum that said to mess around with the internet settings, so I did and now I can no longer add internet connections. Only Ethernet and VPNs.

Also, Im not very good with computers, so please try to make it so I can understand it easily

Likely you have a DNS proxy or bad DNS settings
