Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Review: Fast, Expensive & 4K Capable All the Way

Jeez... I had no idea it was that bad (that version anyway). I'm sorry to hear that. That really sucks.
Relax and don't be sorry. I got it for a trade with a miner.
I give him my old Rx570 8GB witch I purchased for $120 and $100 money and he give me this junk. It was a serious upgrade for cheap last February when 2060 cost was....$500.

Well yeah, you did ok then. Maybe adding some case fans will alleviate the problem somewhat. At least they're still cheap!

Bought a GeForce 4080 (as couldn't stomach a 4090 card price, given +USD600+ in my country), MSI Gaming X Trio. Realistically, the 7900XT will be ~USD200 cheaper, which isn't such a bid deal. I had a Merc 319 6800XT. Length wise, the cards are the same size (so not an issue). However, my 4080 runs a lot cooler. Out the box I can easily overclock the GPU to 3GHZ and 24GHZ RAM, adding 5-10% in games. DLSS is incredible. At 1440p in MW2, getting ~240FPS, with DLSS on. I can't tell the difference between it on an off, yet I take a ~100fps hit when off. And this is where the magic lies. Given how good DLSS is now, where supported, it's a no brainer to run the game with DLSS on - much higher FPS and ~40watts less power draw too.

It will be interesting to compare the 7900XTX against the 4080 with the recommend DLSS and FSR settings, as this is where I believe the battle really is!
