Quandry: I get email of a post, but it's not there; Why?

For this subject:

Smartphones->Location tracking - New reply to watched thread​

I get an email comment link like:
https://www.techspot.com/community/topics/location-tracking.242753/#post-1741632

but it's not in the topic anywhere. It has happened several times(various forum topics). I would have responded to it, but as it's not in the thread, I didn't. Just curious as to the inconsistency.

A new reply triggers the email alert on a thread you’re following however by the time you go see it the reply has been removed because it was spam.

That was a supposition -- however, it really was not spam, just another inaccurate posting. Thanks for the reply; I'll not loose any sleep over it :grin:
