Start-up problem

Hi, I'm having a problem while booting up my computer.Whenever I turn the power on, I get picture on the screen, it starts to check hardware then freezes up. It doesn't get to post-screen and I can't access the BIOS. I tried reconnecting everything and the problem has yet to go away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check all your basics. Make sure all connections are snug, by reconnecting everything. Make sure you have an adequate power supply. Make sure you have inserted correctly and are using the correct type of ram. If after all this, you don't still get post, then you may have a mother board issue. Make sure the little LED on the motherboard lights up. If it doesn't, you definitely have a mother board problem. Hopefully this helps....
