It's been mentioned here before - trades need to be for eligible 'unwanted' games only. Trading for $$ is against Steam's ToS and so probably also go against TS forum rules.

True but it's still being done and it's also pretty common so to reduce the chance of noob n newcommers of getting scammed I also had to write about that there.

Yeah, I don't think it has changed. Nothing has tickled my fancy recently at Steam to purchase as a gift. :(

Haha, I received multiple copies of games from AMD. It's because they messed up sending me my initial never settle reloaded keys. I ended up with 3x all 6 promo games lol. I'm actually maybe a hour away from beating it.
 
It's a pretty good game too. Probably one of the best I've played in awhile.
 
I haven't seen much of it, but I've been impressed. I even saw a pre-order bonus of 'faster hill climbing'??? Hopefully that means it's a pretty open game and I can sneak around surviving etc!
 
Anyone want a copy of Sleeping dogs? At the moment, it's doing nothing but collecting dust.

In my opinion, not even all of them together are worth a Sleeping Dogs copy, lol. I myself own this game, so my interest would be gifting it to my room mate or even asking him if he would like to offer something for the game.

So, I just talked to him and unfortunately he doesn't have anything to offer. He adds everything to his library, even the game he knows he'll never play.

Like you said, take your time waiting for someone to show interest for it and actually having something to give back.

As I suggested to Blkfx1 myself, it's not a big hassle to point out something he likes in the store, and for us to purchase it for him as a gift. ;)
 
I have so many games right now. Plus, there isn't anything I see that's worth picking up that I don't already own. I don't mind giving away the games for free on TS. Here, I know someone will get some use out of them. A lot better then the codes collecting dust in my email inbox;)
