Dilemma:
My PC hangs when I boot it up. Either when it offers me to go to the BIOS menu or at another screen where it begins POST in front of me.. checking ram/boot priority etc.. once it gets to "detecting USB mass storage device #1:.." it freezes.
I have attempted to boot the PC with my external HDD on/off with no variation in effect. I have also considered the bios battery as the causal agent and reseated it. I have checked all connections inside and out, everything seems copasetic.
I cannot access the BIOS or perform any actions before it hangs.
Any insights offered would be greatly appreciated as I wait to get access to some parts that I can readily swap in/out!
