What does your desktop look like?

Well thank goodness I have a degree in photography, that will enable me to balance the exposure, so that I can show the case of my Emachine "in it's best light", while maintaining the beautiful blue glow of the power button. ;)

Can I photograph the back of my case, or would that be considered computer porn?

Did somebody start our annual, "Computer Special Olympics" event without inviting me, (again)?:haha:

Not only that spikester, but if you turn them upside down they all look alike.

This made me laugh :)

You guys will be amazed at my background!
Backgrounds most have sexy women ( OFC! ) And a little danger ! (OFC ! )

( For some reason my picture arnt shown :/ )

My Windows 7 desktop (2880x900; Ever try to find wallpapers for this resolution?! usually have to make my own, but found this one i liked recently)

ScreenShot.png

Well, my desktop is black, made of wood, and it primarily serves the purpose of letting me rest my monitor and keyboard on. :)

My PC desktop (if that's what you mean) is just a bog standard Win 7 look really. Nothing special.

I don't... that's kind of the problem. My desktop looks a bit different now, but every bit as bad with all the desktop shortcuts for games. The reason I do this (or even install so many games in the first place) is because I don't get much time to play - so I need to be able to play whatever my mood requests at an instant. I keep most of the game shortcuts on the desktop as a reminder of what's installed (except Steam games.)

I'm just glad to see you're back luvhuffer - noticed you disappeared for a while.

Ya, i sneak in here once in a while. Trying to keep up with the changes in the technology, but spending more time with family at the expense of surfing.

Hahaha, my desktop is REALLY organised. Its made asy by having an few external HDs that I keep updated with my work and frequently wipe my machine to keep it virus-free (without using those silly anti-virus programs).

My current wallpaper is Raphael's Transfiguration of Christ, but its a huge painting so I have a number of wallpapers of different parts of the same painting.

I always have loads of programs open. The main ones I use are: Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Openoffice, Crimson text Editor, Firefox, MSN Messenger, CamStudio (Screen recorder), ZoneAlarm, Adobe Director, Audacity sample editor, Modplug music sequencer, Notepad (Like a temporary text clipboard), Windows Movie Maker (Adobe Premiere doesn't like my machine - boohoo), Microsoft Paint. Additionally I have an Amiga 1200 that I use for Deluxe Paint 4 AGA and Devpac assembler. The two machines are linked via ethernet

Desktop On My Dell Dimension 5100c

Well what was good for the lap top is good enough for the desktop computer! Just got done putting the finishing touches on it a couple minutes back, I really like it! Now I've lowered the screen size as to fit proper here, but it's true size is (1680 x 1050). Well here goes....

I am really liking that Cairo Dock thing, love it. Way better than that freebie you can D/L from Wincustomize or Stardock one of the two, named Object Dock, this one for Linux kicks the lamas (word substitution) "butt"!

Theme : Balanzan
Wallpaper : Ubuntu Sunrise (16:9 Wide Screen Ratio) Size : (1680 x 1050)
Cursor : Oxy-Brown
Dock : Cairo-Dock V. 2.2.04-7 (OpenGL) Theme : Traditional Japan By: Lylambda

Enjoy...........:)

I Guess I'm At It Again.....

Well I guess I couldn't leave well enough alone today, for I slipped into a creative mood. Before I knew it and about an hour of "putsing" around, I came up with this latest creation for my desktop computer!

simplegreen.png

I'm starting to get a good handle on that Cairo Dock thing, getting easier to use. Also I've employed the services of something called a "screenlet", that is the new picture frame on my desktop, rotates a new hot babe for me every 10 minutes, and with that thing being linked to a folder containing over 3000 sexy female images, that's a lot of babes!

Theme: Aquadreames
Wallpaper: From the official Loco Video Game Web Site, Titled "Green Fantasy".
Cursor: Oxy-Emerald
Cairo Dock: Clear By: Coz

Hope you enjoyed it.................:)

Thought I would show off another one of my creations, seeing this is the place to show off desktops. This was done several day's back, it was done on my laptop. Nothing to special, just enough to look good.

Haha - took me a minute to notice the middle image was actually different Red - I thought you had gone through the effort of changing the color properties before I noticed. Are your launchers at the bottom actually spread across desktops like that and always visible when not in a full screen app?

I love your desktop, I really do. But I think I would have a hard time getting any work done, with those ominous set of eyes staring at me! But it's great, you did alright! :approve:

Hi Papa,
They are, I have an 5760 res Eyefinity setup. i use video editing and Photoshop CS5 a lot, and this resolution is phenomenal to work with. If I want to have them separated, I hit a hotkey (HydraVision) and they re-organize into the same thing scaled down x3

Got Another One.......

I'm actually very please and surprised with the way that this custom desktop shot turned out! I tried my best here to kind of go "Earth tones" with this one. I tried to blend in the Ubuntu upper taskbar, to the wallpaper, to the dock, I tried to make it blend as best could.

Here it is..................

angelicdesktop.png

I shrunk this a little to fit the forums, this was done on my laptop tonight in 1400 x 900 resolution.

"I could look at this little creation all day"! :D

That's very nice Zen - I'd actually use something like that... except I don't have desktops of women since my kids are in here on their computers all the time. Still, looks nice and clean.

Thank you so very much for the compliment there Papa! And I know all about the kids & computers thing, mine was that young not to long ago, I too had to be careful what I displayed on my screen. But the kid is just about to turn 17, he's old enough to see this type of stuff now, plus I don't create to racy of custom desktops, the one I posted here is about as suggestive as I want things to get! ;)

well I guess I'm at it again, figured I would change things up before going off to bed, you know, something new to look at in the morning. I guess I went "hell bent on leather" in regards to picking something Sci-Fi related for my new desktop look.

Well here goes........

tronlegacy.png

I ran with a Tron Legacy theme, the wallpaper was grabbed off Google! I like this, had to change thing up inside the "customize" area inside Ubuntu to get as close to matching theme colors as I could get. And of course I added a dash of custom color to the dock as well. And custom mouse pointer. I think with all of that, it got the job done.

Hope you guy's like it! :)
