X1950 worth it?

I was contemplating buying a Radeon x1950PRO for my AGP based PC.
Is spending over $200AUD on this card a good idea, or would I be better off saving for a whole new system?

I want my PC to run Brothers In Arms: HH, Call Of Duty 5, Empire: Total War and other games of the near future.
With 2gb Ram (Max for my Mobo), and the x1950PRO (512mb) would I be able to do so?

Since your emphasis is on future gaming, I would save for a better whole new system. Yes, you could improve your current system with the X1950Pro but your old processor and AGP system will struggle with future games, IMO.

Brothers in Arms: HH has fairly modest requirements but most future games are likely to be much more demanding.
