absolutebackup is the ideal Windows backup software for all users. Perfect for the small business or personal use, absolutebackup is easy to use for a novice, yet powerful enough for IT professionals. A typical backup can be created in minutes by anyone with basic computing skills.

absolutebackup saves your data in Zip format to almost any form of media, directory, disk or network location. You can restore your backups to other PC's using any Zip compatible program, absolutebackup does not need to be installed !

Once configured to run on a schedule, absolutebackup will keep the backup file up-to-date every time it runs, updating new or changed files and removing deleted files.


Easy to Use

* Comprehensive help file.
* 'What's this' help. (Right-click an item on screen for a quick help definition of that item.)
* Select folders/files for backup or restore in a graphical tree view. (You can use absolutebackup's easy to use tree view to extract files from normal Zip files as well.)

Flexible & Powerful

* For extra safety, you can now create 'archive backups' which save a copy of every file that changes between backups to a separate backup file. This allows you to restore not only the latest version of a file, but older versions as well.
* 'Quick Select' for easy one click selection of common user data. eg. Favourites, My Documents, Desktop etc..
* Ability to include sub-folders when selecting a folder:
When you include sub-folders in a selection, the software will automatically include any sub-folder that is added in the future. In addition, you can easily exclude any specific sub-folder as well.
* Multiple folders on any drive can be defined in a backup job.
* Include or exclude specific files/folders or file types.
* Compatible with any media Windows Explorer can write to directly such as network drives, zip drives, SuperDisk, floppy disks, CD-R / CD-RW (using UDF software drivers such as Roxio DirectCD or Ahead InCD). Disk spanning is also supported on removable media.
* Backup jobs can be scheduled to run automatically at any time via the task scheduler, or they can be run manually.
* Backup files are compressed in zip compatible format. The files can be opened/extracted by any zip software application, making the backup files easy to restore onto computers that do not have absolutebackup installed.


* The Log Book can display the backup status of all files within the backup job.
* The Log Book displays details of any backup problems after a job has finished backing up.


* Password protection can be applied to backup files.
