Dell BIOS Password Removal

Contact me at email removed. The Docs I send have the location marked in a picture and have procedures for shorting it. It is a small 3mmx4mm 8-connection chip with 24 in the type number and in most types a C also

im prety sure i read through all the posts on here but i didnt find any info on how to remove the passwords on a dell latitude 3700...or maybe reading that many posts made me semi unconcious and i just missed it lol. the service tage thing is F5B2E if that is any help. i called dell and they said its a corporate service tag. thats because my dads company was throwing it away and he picked it up for me. anyways, if there is a way then please let me know, if not i called dell and they said to call back in a few days because the guy that does that stuff is out sick...go figure.

xPLaR,email removedThe docs I have use a Latitude CPx as an example and Inspiron 3700 is a hardware clone of that model

I have a Latitude d400 and cant find the chip any ideas? Been looking all evening I found one that says eeprom 24c something. This is by the pcmia slot.

ok the stuff you sent me worked perfectly...the .pdf file to be specific worked for me. opening up the laptop and shorting the chip worked. problem now is that there is a hard drive password too :( is there a way to clear the pass or even format the drive so everything is gone. i dont really care what was on the drive and the pass is only used so that noone can access the drive so there has to be a way...or not lol.

Many Thanks

Thanks Paragon , i`m normally thicker than the offspring of a Villiage ***** and and a TV weather girl, but i followed the instructions, and it worked first time!
Cheers mate.

well thanks to the help here i did unlock the laptop but now like everyone else theres the little problem of the locked harddrive if there is any way a free one that is to unlock this thing then i would be forever greatful the ***** that sold this to me and like many of you from e-bay needs to be smacked for not knowing the password or shipping a locked computer in the first place the guy i got mine from wont even respond to any of my attempts to contact him so im either screwed and need a new drive or theres a way to save this 40gigger please help anyone thanks a ton.

What would be the point of a security password that could be so easily bypassed..?

Generally, BIOS passwords are a joke with desktop PCs. On mine, I unplug the ATX power supply, remove the battery, reinsert it, clear CMOS, re-plug, no more password.

Thanks in advance.

email removed You will need an email address which will accept large and .ZIP attachments. A Yahoo account works the best and is free

Harddrive Passsword

Many of you have have asked me about Harddrive Password removal. I have only the results on this linked page in techspot to offer as help and it is not free! It worked on a Toshiba 40gb that I was given with a Password lock and left the data and software at status quo.

I need help!!

I got a Dell laptop computer off ebay and Im having a hard time getting around the Bios password. I was getting ready to trash this thing until my friend reffered me here. I have an Inspiron 3500. My tag number is VZLLB and my express code is 537-290-39. Dell wont help me because I don't know the previous owner and I can't get in touch with the person I bought it from. Can anybody help me PLEASE!!

The Inspiron 3500 does not use Passwords based on the Service Tag, which is a paper Tag only for reference purposes. The EEProm Chip's location and recommendations are found in the .pdf file I send. You will not need to reset your Service Tag in BIOS on this model after clearing the Password. Contact me at email removed for the files

done it......

i have done my d505 first time round with the paperclip method.well i say first time round i did take my laptop apart twice untill i realised where the chip was,
