Thanks for the reply samyloo. I know that there isnt any shorting method for the D530. Can I not REPLACE the eeprom for the D530? I dont want to pay as I have already paid twice before with no solution, just got a password that doesnt work and then someone else sold me a 24c02 chip that doesnt exist on my D530, so hence I dont want to waste any more money by paying someone again.

Hello everyone!
Glad to be a member of this forum. I've joined the forums today because I have a question : I have a Dell latitude 830 laptop whose system number ends with 595B and I'm not sure if posting on this forum will get me my password. Is this model supported? Hope you'll answer my question even tho I'm sure you get thousands of questions like mine every week. Anyway great job you guys are doing here. Keep up the good work!
Raz.
PS: Not really eager to pay money for the password so don't waste your time with PM's about that.

Hi kimsland
I saw that you posted the dell 600 pics witht eh eeprom chip location, but do you have a pic of the e1705 location? I have many pics if would help of this mobo. there are about 7-8 chips that all look like the eeprom that has been described. They all look VERY simular to your pic

I bought a Dell Latitude 120L off of eBay. I can't get into the laptop as I get prompted for a system or administrator password (NOT a windows password). I've tried booting off of a bootable CD with no luck...it goes straight to the password prompt. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery with no luck. How do I reset this? I don't feel comfortable taking it apart and sticking it with a paperclip. I've tried to transfer the regristration through Dell but i don't have any information on the previous owner. The eBay seller has not been helpful. I see people out there trying to charge to unlock this thing on ebay, I mean really? What does it take to unlock this sucker...I'd really like to have it ready for my wife on Christmas. I can't believe I'd have to pay someone to get a master password..I just won't do that. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are not willing to do the paperclip thing, you will have to buy a code from the guys on ebay. Nobody will give you the unlock code for free. :(

please i have made DST CD.rar on CD but my system can not boot from the CD Drive. It will just flash invalid configuration and go to gray page and ask for addminnistrative (bios) password. what should i do?

I forgot my bios password and now I'm locked out of my Dell Latitude D505
Service tag: HYBYS51
Express #: 39081248245

The notebook was purchased years ago and I'm unbable to match the original user information in order to properly transfer ownership through Dell.

Can someone help me with a master password that will get me back into the bios?

Thank you,
