Dell Inspiron (Not Lat) 1300 Master Password

When I start up this clents laptop I get this.

"This computer system, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password. Please type in the primary or administrator password and press enter"

Now I know there is away around this with the Latitudes but is there one for Inspirons?

Thanx Huge :)

Well your chip is -595B, the pass generators on this forum will not be of a much help to you.
There are ways to bypass config setup password, or administrator password, they are the same.
But, there is no much ways with latitutes or inspirions if you need master pass or when you cannot enter the OS.

You have 4 options:

1. contact DELL

2. Find paper clip methode on forum, read it well, and consult with someone before you
do it.(you have it on e bay also)

3. Find someone who can give you password for free (well this is a very hard to find)

4. Find people who take mucho money for that (75$). Well the third solution will be easiest.

Wrong

Option 1 Here it is: (and lots more info too :grinthumb) https://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?p=610782#post610782
Actually using just the above single link, you yourself had your own laptop freely solved
well i solved my problem with config or admin setup password in bios on latitude d600.
It' s very simple and solution is already on this forum
Here's one member who went through Dell support, two days ago :grinthumb
35 minutes after calling Dell support, (thanks to your link), I now have access to my Dell laptop XPS M140. I can not thank you enough. $49 was well worth the alternative!

Option 2 This happens all the time
From time to time we get a few spammers on here, they tend to post a bit and also give away free passwords, eventually they get up to the "I need money" stage, and then it's ban time. Actually I find it quite amusing :D

Option 3 This is the hardest and worst option
Usually you are giving your money to some guy in Russia (um try not to be silly enough to pay by credit card, if at all !) Obviously these sharks have no care for free or cheaper options, and I wouldn't trust anything ever from them, who knows there may even be a time delay, where it happens again ! I spoke to eBay (among others) about this as well, they said they have no interest whatsoever if you lose your money. Incredible I know. But true

Option 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 Forgot to be mentioned :(
There's the DST CD
There's the manufacture (inside warranty or not)
There's the one done above, where the service tag removal also helped remove the password
There's the read chip idea (thanks for providing a similar link above)
There's a whole range of manufacture options, initially done by contacting them
There's even trying to track down the person who put the password on, in the first place ;)
I can go on...
There's a huge resource from Googling, this includes 3rd party cheaper methods, I found one advertised for $25 once, and I posted it here (seeming it was worth it, for some)
There's reading all these posts and threads. Really I can't write all the good stuff in one post !

But be perfectly clear about all this. TechSpot is only free service (also advice on manufacture costs ie Dell is $49 only, for password removal)
Anyone found trying to sell passwords will be banned (usually within seconds ;) )

Please help rid TechSpot of such spammers, so this thread can help more members freely, now and into the future. By the way, if I ever find the 595 Gen TechSpot will be the first to benefit freely forever.

i'm not going to qoute you, because you are right only in one thing that i didn't mentioned.
And that is to contact dell! This stuff (Option 4,5,6,7,8,9,10) what you r tellin can't help you the get rid off master password, only admin password.
And I was talking about chip 595b and master password above!
:stickout:

you are stealing my ideas with that ordering of a problems.
And I gave good info because there is no much option if your problem is chip 595 and master password, i reduced number of possible options, and, Kimsland, your solutions are too general.
:approve:

Inspiron 1520 Admin password madness

I've been fixing computers for my friends for the last few years and prided myself in being able to crack any computer. Until this Dell Inspiron 1520. I've been reading all the posts and forums about eeprom chips now I'm and expert in 24CXX blah blah chips, only problem there is no 24C anything on the board I can't get to the bios or boot order or diagnostics and there is not very many references to this model on most of the forums. Tried all the ISO there are and ran out of disks but none of them worked. went over every chip on the board and some not on the board looking for the illusive eeprom 24CXX or 93CXX or 34-24-36 double D chip. But alas I'm this close to making a discus out of this laptop and go for the gold. So you guy's are my final hope before giving up.

Inspiron 1520 model PP22L

Express service code: 9YGDDD1-595B

Found a couple of possible eeprom chips SST 25VFQ168 8 pin looked promising and another ST chip I need to find my jewelers loop to see the numbers on. Oh well enough babbling on, any help is greatly apprieciated

Dell Inspiron 1520

That was one of the first BootCD ISO's I tried when I first looked into this problem I read the other threads and ended up in Paragons site. Any other ideas maybe?

Yea I've signed up for a bunch of help forums and no one has to much info on this model, you don't by chance know which eeprom chip I need to read?

I posted many Dell IC Numbers H E R E (this was also in the above link)

I'm not aware of that chip number, but would certainly like to know as well
Possibly it cannot be shorted

I'd contact dell but the service tag is missing from the bottom I don't think they can help me.....I'll keep searching, if you come up with something post it for me and I'll check back periodicly , many thanks for your time.
