The iOS redirect loop bug has been fixed.

@SNGX1275 I've added the alerts blink to our devs to-do.

'blink' issue is fixed. But something isn't right with the alerts.

First of all, I want to once again thank the TechSpot team for an awesome redesign, especially Julio. I just wanted to report some bugs and provide some design feedback for you all. The following is predominantly, if not all, from the mobile site.

Design Feedback
1) I feel like the featured stories and search button should be pushed all the way to the right. I feel it just looks better. I can see the purpose of keeping it the way it is though, it shows that there are more stories. I feel like you could counter this by adding some sort of indicator below the stories stating that there are more than one. For example:

1) Alerts button disappears after clicking it.


2) The side pane appears at the bottom of a thread between the text editor and the bottom of the page.

Bug: The "Jump to forum mode" button is unavailable in the comments section of a story when there is only 1 comment.

I don't know if this may have been reported before:

When I move mouse to Forums' drop down, then move the mouse through the drop down to the icon I want to select, the drop down keeps disappearing. Very annoying. I think it's happening if I happen to pass my mouse over the camera icon within each forum's icon.

I attached a short mp4 file of the experience.(frustration)

A quick update on the various reports...

This is not really a bug report, but more of some feedback. I think the animations on the social media buttons

Once again, by design. The count resets once you see the alerts (don't need to open the topics), except for conversations.

Alerts menu didn't blink when I had 1 notification, it worked like it should. Then after that alert was cleared, the menu went back to its blink behavior. I feel like this is different than it was several hours ago.

Edit: Nevermind, blinked with alert just now. I maybe just didn't pay attention earlier.

Duh me! Sorry, I should have included all the specs in that first post.

Win 7 SP1 x32, Chrome 33.0.1.750.74 m (chrome says it's the latest version).

I just tried it in an incognito window (so all extensions turned off)

Yes. I just confirmed. I have a Google image search extension installed. When I disable it, the camera icon embedded in each icon isn't there and the problem goes away

Working on going live with a few more fixes tonight as well. Including one for the social widget falling out of place in the news.

Menu glitch where it wouldn't close down at times is fixed.

I notice that I can no longer click on my alerts. I have to press the actual thread name in the alerts menu in order for it to respond, rather than the whole box itself.

Hey Julio, I just wanted to provide some feedback on the ads on the site. I personally am not really a fan of the ads above the news stories and in the middle of the home page. I fully understand why you guys wouldnt want to change the placement since it is quite noticeable. But if you guys think of changing its placement, I wouldnt mind seeing it somewhere else.

Don't know if this a bug or a feature but while using the search, if the cursor moves away it hides itself.
Think it should stay visible if text is being is still being inputted.

As for some site feedback Julio, do you think you guys can add a summary of the pages of an article at the bottom like the old site had? In the new R9 295X2 review, it is hard to navigate back to different pages since there is no page selection at the bottom of the review.

Copy/Paste is not visible.

Copy a paragraph
Attempt to paste it elsewhere and you see nothing

Paste into Notepad and it is shown and recopy that and it pastes correctly.
