DarkWave Studio features a modular virtual studio, a pattern editor, a sequence editor, and a multitrack hard disk recorder. The software supports VST and VSTi instrument and effect plugins. Its modular virtual studio design allows machines to be connected in an ad hoc manner, offering flexibility in routing and setup.
The pattern editor enables quick creation and editing of patterns by clicking to add or delete notes and dragging notes to move or resize them. The sequence editor lets you queue patterns for each control track in any arrangement, making it easy to reuse patterns and remix projects efficiently.
The multitrack hard disk recorder allows you to capture the output of any machine and save it as 16-bit integer or 32-bit floating-point PCM-encoded WAV files, ideal for high-quality post-production editing or conversion to formats like MP3 or FLAC.
