Benchmarks: Real-World Applications

The current generation of SSDs has hit a brick wall in our virus scan test, as we can't seem to crack the 43 second barrier. The Extreme II 240GB matched our fastest time to date, along with other SSDs such as the OCZ Vertex 450, Vector, Samsung SSD 840 Pro, Intel SSD 520 Series, Crucial m4 and Kingston HyperX.

As is the case with our virus scan test, the Extreme II performed on par with other high-performance drives, taking 95 seconds for Red Orchestra 2 to be installed.
