Audacity 4.0 is a major overhaul of the popular audio editor, featuring a redesigned interface, improved clip editing, a new project format, and native ASIO support on Windows. Some features haven't made the transition yet, including MIDI tracks, but are expected to return in future releases.

Open-source audio editing software Audacity has released version 3.7.3 addressing two key bugs: incorrect results when applying effects to multiple clips and a malfunction in the Truncate Silence feature.
