Will it be possible to run Fallout 3 on windows 2000 ???
I tried...

There is a first error message saying xinput1_3.dll file is missing.
I placed an xinput1_3.dll file in fallout 3 directory

After that an error message says xlive.dll file is missing.
I found the xlive.dll file on eMule and placed it in fallout 3 directory.

After this an onother error message appears saying
it that entry point is missing in KERNEL32.dll and then I can't find a solution.

Hoping that someone could help...

Just for information Crysis, the clear game without any patches and fixes can be run on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2.I suppose it will run on the old versions of the windows 2003.
The only one thing that I changed is that I used a new .exe to run the game.I found it in internet.I don't know what will be the behavior of the game without it.If you need it mail me at microsoft@abv.bg and I will send you a copy.

Just as a quick followup, I forgot to mention two points in my reply above. 1) The beta Forceware release that makes a major performance improvement in Crysis and Bioshock is currently 169.09. It allows me to run Bioshock my dual-core AM2 5000+ system at 1680x1050 with my 8600 GTS card with very reasonable response.

2) Yes, Bioshock can be modified in the same way that Crysis was modified above to allow it to play on Windows 2000. You only need two of the files listed above, and they are the exact same files: dbghelp.dll and xinput1_3.dll. You can get them from the same source. These go in the game's Builds/Release folder. Try them with the Bioshock demo and see.

Also very important, if you're running Crysis or Bioshock on Windows 2000. Get the latest beta nVidia Forceware from nvidia.com, and use the custom parameter settings for either game in the "Application Profiles" selection box.

There's an important twist, however. Nvidia's web site is VERY misleading. If you let it search for you and it identifies your OS as Windows 2000, it will tell you that there is no beta driver for your computer. You have to manually change the OS to be Windows XP. Why does this work? Because the Windows XP installer for Forceware is also the Windows 2000 installer!

The same installer works fine on both systems - and it lists Windows 2000 in its title bar. I find it highly annoying that Nvidia and the game companies have teamed up to block out Windows 2000, when it works just fine for playing their products. They must be getting some seriously great compensation from M$ for cutting off a sizable portion of their revenue stream.
