The Google Gemini app is an AI assistant that can help supercharge your creativity and productivity. This official app is free. Gemini gives you direct access to Google's best family of AI models on your phone so you can:

  • Get help with writing, brainstorming, learning, and more
  • Summarize and find quick info from Gmail or Google Drive
  • Generate images on the fly
  • Use text, voice, photos and your camera to get help in new ways
  • Say "Hey Google" to ask Gemini for help with what's on your phone screen
  • Make plans with Google Maps and Google Flights

If you have access to Gemini Advanced it will be right here in the Gemini app.

The Gemini app is now live in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and more languages. See the full list of supported languages and countries here.

If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on the phone. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet – including controlling media and routines. You can switch back to Google Assistant in settings.

What: Starting today, you can share the Gems you create with friends, family, and colleagues. Gems are a simple way to customize Gemini to achieve your specific goals. This means you can tackle recurring tasks without retyping lengthy prompts and providing context each time.

Share your weekly meal planner Gem to help a friend get inspiration, or send your vacation planner Gem to a family member before their big trip. To share, simply open your Gem manager on the web and click "Share" next to any Gem you've created. Sharing Gems works just like sharing files in Google Drive, giving you control over who can view or edit your Gem. Visit the Help Center to learn more about sharing Gems.

Why: Turn your favorite Gems into a shared resource so you can help others also save time on repetitive prompting and get started more easily. Rather than creating from scratch, you can use a fine-tuned Gem with effective instructions with friends or even an entire organization.

Upload multiple images to combine concepts, borrow creative elements, or blend scenes to create something unique.
