Dell's XPS 13 2-in-1 gets positive reviews, gets tough competition from HP's Spectre

While TechSpot's review is still pending, we liked what we saw from Dell's XPS 13 convertible during CES. First reviews started popping up confirming our initital impressions: the XPS 13 2-in-1 is a solid convertible laptop that inherits most positive traits from its standard laptop sibling, including those ultra thin bezels and great build quality. The judge is still out there on whether it surpasses HP's excellent Spectre x360, but it's hard to go wrong with either if you want a solid Windows laptop that can also perform as a tablet.

Surface Book i7 refresh reviewed: Still awesome, but no next-gen specs

The Surface Book "Performance Base" refresh brings a faster Core i7 CPU, a GTX 965M GPU for twice the graphics performance, and a larger battery. All worthy upgrades on a svelte package that is still very expensive. Reviewers are praising it for what it delivers, except that maybe Microsoft could've waited just a little while longer and ship with Kaby Lake and a Pascal GPU instead.
