guys, I am sad about whats happening. it looks like the "willing to help" people are gone and the "willing to make profit" people have taken over.
for those of you who want to pay for a password just check ebay and search for "dell password". you will get your password for $5 to $25 there. else pay $50 here, lol.
no really, it would be more helpful and more of heroic to offer some knowledge about the password generators you guys say you own. techspot is no place to make money from other people's problems. its a place to help eachother and share information.
cheers, mscrx
ps. and I don't need childish comments on that, thanks! I have more than 2000 users who and I know how stupid they can comment things they don't understand or they don't want to understand.
Kudos to you for that.
I would be willing to bet that the great majority of people on this forum are seeking knowledge about how to circumvent a password system that has them blocked unfairly.
Personally, I am one who would rather try and figure a way around it on my own,
but now I'm stumped as to how to get around this one.
I tried the shorting method, but couldnt find the damn eeprom chip.
And now I have read varying things that say on one hand you can do it
and then say that there is no chip to short on a d520.
This issue has become totally perplexing to the point that I'm now seeking someone to generate a PW.
Point being... I came here looking for help on defeating this thing, not to buy a password.
At this point I feel like I have no other option due to the lack of help I've found regarding my particular problem.
For all the guys that are making mad cash off people on ebay and other places... nice hustle. I mean that sincerly.
But consider how you felt when you were not a knowledgable on the subject...
Who helped you?
Did you have to pay?
Is the ebay market not bringing in enough money
so now you have decided to sell knowledge
that once would have been passed on just to
"Stick it to the corporate powers"...
Just think about that for a bit
and remember when you were just some little kid
that wanted to be a hacker what the community was like.
