BloatyNosy is an open-source Windows application designed to help users manage and remove bloatware, unnecessary pre-installed software that can slow down system performance. Primarily tailored for Windows 11, it also offers compatibility with Windows 10, though some features may be limited on the older OS.

Features

  • Native stuff (no web app crap)
  • Back to basics: efficient and user-friendly
  • No AI/Copilot integration
  • Focused on the essentials

What's New

The new Dark Mode Design is now rolling out as the default. A lot of effort has been put into making the user experience as seamless and intuitive as possible. All in all, the design is now more consistent and closely aligned with the Windows 11 style. At the same time, I've ensured that the app remains compact, lightweight, and portable - true to its core values

Here's what's new:

  • The App Debloater module now supports Bloatware Filters, which are regularly expanded and updated by AI. The signatures for these filters are stored in an "AppMatrix.json" file, which can be accessed and kept up-to-date via the Plugin Store. This plugin is only supported in version 1.0.6 of Bloatynosy and onwards. Prior to this, the bloatware signatures were static and hard-coded in the app. Be sure to check out the video showcasing this feature
  • The Home/Back button now also displays the number of pages we've flipped through in the app. The first page transition starts at 1, 2, 3, etc., so you always know how many layers you've moved away from the main page and how many clicks it'll take to return to the main menu. Yeah, I know it's a bit of a gamey feature, but somehow, I kinda need it 😆
  • The Notification area has been detached from the app. It now floats over the main screen and disappears as soon as you click anywhere else
