Is LALAL.AI free to use?
The desktop app is free to download and install. Processing files requires a LALAL.AI account. The free Starter plan includes 10 minutes of processing time in the Relaxed Queue and allows users to preview results, while downloading full outputs requires a paid subscription.
Does the desktop app require an internet connection?
It depends on the processing mode selected. By default, the app uses cloud-based processing and requires an internet connection. Subscribers to the Pro plan can also use Lyra, an on-device processing mode that works offline. An internet connection may still be required periodically for subscription verification.
Can I process multiple files at once?
Yes, the desktop app supports batch processing and can handle up to 20 audio or video files in a single queue.
What audio and video formats are supported?
The app supports the following file formats:
- Audio: MP3, OGG, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, AAC, M4A
- Video: AVI, MP4, MKV, MOV, M4V
- Processed files are exported in the same format as the original source by default.
Does the desktop app offer the same settings as the web version?
When using cloud-based processing, the desktop app includes the same stem separation options and settings available on the web version, such as neural network selection, enhanced processing, de-echo, and vocal separation tools. Local processing through Lyra supports a different set of stems and does not include some cloud-specific features.
