Crysis 2 GPU & CPU Performance Test

The highly anticipated sequel to Crysis is finally here. Despite the few shortcomings we didn't expect to see on the PC version, like its lack of DX11 rendering at launch, the game looks gorgeous and appears to be quite a lot of fun regardless. Now the question that remains to be answered is how demanding Crysis 2 is on PC hardware? Can it bring the most power hungry rigs to their knees as the original game did? Today we plan to find out as we run a wide range of processors and graphics cards through the gauntlet.

Crysis 2 Performance Preview

Crysis 2 is one of the year's most anticipated PC games. Considering that the original title to this very day can put a mid-range machine to crawl, we were keen to preview how the game runs on current generation graphics cards.

Make sure you read our disclaimer on how we tested the game. As it is of public knowledge, an early incomplete build of the game was leaked to Torrent sites last week. In advance we encourage all readers who planned to buy the game to hold off and wait for the finished version, rather than spoiling what will surely be one of the best games of 2011.
