Andre, the Giant

I have always liked tennis and Andre Agassi has been my favourite player ever since I remember. A true inspiration to anyone who plays the sport as a hobby or professionally, it was very unfortunate that he couldn’t beat Federer (another great player, indeed) in the latest US Open final. I’m just done reading his bio available at Wikipedia (a really good read), and I couldn’t resist posting an entry about Andre, arguably the best player in the history of tennis.

It was a good match between Agassi and Federer at the US Open. I wonder how long Andre’s body will allow him to keep on playing professionally. I guess it is a good sign if he can reach the finals of the US Open.
Federer? It should be interesting to see how many tennis records he ends up breaking in the future! :)
I’m more of a Sampras fan myself but there’s no doubt Andre deserves credit for what he has done. Incredible that he still has what it takes to beat most of the young players on the circuit.
The only thing I don’t like about tennis today is everyone plays the same way. Where are the attackers ? Players like Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg have no equivalents now. They all stay in the back court & hit as hard as they can. I find it boring because of that.
