A lightweight, redesigned version of the Epic Games Launcher featuring faster startup, improved library management, unified game collections, and enhanced download controls. Now available in Preview for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Epic Games Launcher Preview is a redesigned version of Epic's desktop gaming client, built to deliver faster performance, a more responsive interface, and improved game library management.

The Preview introduces faster cold starts, smoother navigation between the store and game library, and reduced background resource usage. Its refreshed interface includes dedicated game pages, customizable collections, improved search and filtering, and more detailed download monitoring.

One of its biggest additions is the ability to connect PC game libraries and view titles from multiple sources in one place. Players can also customize the launcher's top bar with frequently used games and applications, switch between grid and list views, and communicate with friends through Epic Parties.

The new launcher marks Epic's first official expansion to Linux. While Fortnite is not yet playable on Linux through the launcher, Epic is working to expand Easy Anti-Cheat compatibility to eventually make this possible.
