It's not that Opera works better when Identify as IE is on. It's that some sites really don't like Opera and use specific code like:

if (IE) then {}
else if (Netscape) then {}
else if (Gecko) then {}
else {use text only}

I've used Opera since 6.0 and never looked back.

I have problems logging into my gmail and google groups account while using Opera, but otherwise it beats all other browsers (including the Opera wannabe Firefox!)

Also I forgot that if you accidentally close a tab, its sitting over there in the trash at the far end of the address bar. Very handy little feature.

I have used Opera faithfully since 7.1 I really like it. Its got an incredibly good tab browsing interface. My only complaints are some pages like banks and credit cards don't like to use Opera.

I tried using Opera at work but something with how the comps are set up here doesn't get along with Opera at all.

So I tried FF (for the about the 40th time) and it would crash 2-3 times before noon, so I couldn't have that. I noticed how poorly it handled tabs and windows too.

So I switched to Deer Park Alpha 1, and until I had to reboot a few days ago I had had it up for over a week opening new tabs and occationally a window if I forgot to middle click, and I had 0 crashes or freezes.

If Opera wasn't so awesome for me on my home machines, I'd consider using Deer Park at least a little bit.

i added a couple checkboxes on the bottom of opera to help with annoying webpages. one of them is plug-ins disable, which eliminates all flash ads, i also have java and javascript for really annoying pages. i am no longer at the mercy of webdesigners. i don't think i'll ever go back to anyother browser.

Ctrl + alt + Shift + N. I just right click and choose the "duplicate" button. :p

(Unless we are talking about completely different commands.)
