Since Microsoft acquired Nokia's smartphone division, the company has focused its efforts on mid-range and entry-level handsets, with the Lumia 640 we are reviewing today being their latest. It's got a decent hardware package for the price and runs Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, with a promised upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile later this year.
The Lumia 930 is Nokia's new flagship and successor to the Lumia 925. You might notice that this handset looks very similar to the Lumia Icon the company released earlier this year exclusively on Verizon, and that's because it's essentially the international version of the Icon, packing Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. Hardware-wise you get a large, 5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, and Nokia's signature 20-megapixel PureView camera.
In nearly every way, the Lumia 525 is the same as the Lumia 520, however since the 520 launched at the start of 2013 the entry-level smartphone market has changed; new hardware has been unveiled for budget devices, and older parts have become cheaper. The competition is also ferocious, specifically Motorola's Moto G comes to mind. How does the Lumia 525 fit into the equation in 2014?
