It may not be the best year to upgrade your PC, but 2026 is packed with games worth the wait. From long-awaited reboots to bold new IP, here are the PC titles we can't stop watching this year.
Gears 5 has the longest and most ambitious campaign that Gears of War has ever done and, for the most part, that ambition pays off. In a series first, the story focuses on a female character, putting the player in a woman's shoes for the majority of the game.
Gears of War 4 is DX12-only, meaning the game has been built from the ground up to leverage this low-level API on both the PC and Xbox versions. In an effort to figure out performance, we've thrown not 20 or even 30 graphics cards at this title, but 40 – 41 to be exact.
